These typically come in two types, low deductible (up to $1,000) and high deductible plans (up to $10,000). The lower deductible plans feature lower out of pocket expenses, but have higher premiums. The high deductible plans offer lower monthly premiums, but have higher out of pocket expenses. Which one of these is right for you? That’s something I’ll work with you to help you determine. The other alternative is what is called a HSA plan. This is a high deductible plan with what is called a Health Spending Account. These accounts allow you to put money away for health care expenses, pre tax.  The money in these accounts can be used for co-pays at the doctor’s office, prescription costs and even large expenses such Lasik eye surgery. I’ll help you determine if you need prescription coverage and which policies will include prescription coverage. The other type of plan is the short term, temporary plans which can be used to protect you and your family during periods of unemployment. These plans are usually less expensive than COBRA plans. They can also be used to provide coverage while waiting for a new employer’s plan to take effect. Do you need dental coverage as well? Well I can find that for you as well!
